“Next Tuesday night the NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies
– a progressive public middle and high school in Chelsea and one
of the top-ranked in the city – takes on the Taste of Tribeca with
a new walk-around tasting. To raise money for the school, which
doesn’t receive federal funding beyond its operating budget, a
dedicated group has pulled together an impressive list of restaurants
from surrounding areas.”

“Stuffing yourself full of fantastic food is always a good idea.
Doing it in the name of charity? Well, that’s the icing on the
cake. Foodies get to eat for a cause by donating $45 to the NYC
Lab School and, in return, sampling food from Chelsea and the
Meatpacking District eateries.”

“A fund-raising party organized by the Friends of NYC Lab
School, a middle and high school in Chelsea that specializes in
innovative teaching, will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at
the school, 333 West 17th Street, with neighborhood restaurants
providing food.”

“If you’ve always wanted to sample those trendy restaurants in
Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, but you haven’t been able
to snag a reservation, the NYC Lab School can help you out.”
