Kick Off the Summer with a One-of-A-Kind Culinary Festival!
The NYC Lab School for Collaborative Studies and Manhattan’s finest restaurants are partnering once again for our fourth annual culinary extravaganza, the first Saturday after Memorial Day 2011 - June 4th!
From Chelsea to the Meatpacking District, dozens of the city's top chefs will grace Gansevoort Street and its cobblestoned plaza, sharing delightful delicacies to support arts and enrichment for public school children in the heart of the neighborhood.
This is a rare chance to sample NYC's most exquisite cuisine without scrambling for a reservation. And it's all for a good cause - making a difference in our children's lives!
Our restaurants: 5 Ninth; Amy's Bread; Aleo; Bill's Bar & Burger; Buddakan; Coppelia; Dos Caminos; El Quinto Pino; Employee's Only; Fatty Crab; The Green Table/The Cleaver Company; Hill Country Barbeque Market; Macao Trading Company; Macelleria; Mama Mexico; Tanuki Tavern; Tia Pol; Trestle on Tenth; Pastis; The Red Cat; Rocking Horse Cafe, The Simple Kitchen; Smorgas Chef; Spice Market; Suenos; Villa Pacri... and for the kids, Stella's Pizza.
New this year: Students-led Historic Walking Tours. Lab High School students and Lesley Doyel, Hands On History program instructor at Lab High, will lead walking tours of both the Meatpacking and Chelsea. Check the Historic Walking Tours page to find more information about the tours, and don't forget to sign up for the tour at the event at Hands On History table.
